At the age of 18, The Princess Royal began her public work by opening an educational and training center in Shropshire in 1969. Since then, she has developed important and continuous connections with various charities and organizations throughout the Commonwealth, making her one of the most industrious members of the Royal Family in terms of workload.
Since 1970, Her Royal Highness has served as the President of Save the Children UK, the first prominent charity she has been deeply involved with. This role has provided her with valuable knowledge about the global needs of children and the challenges faced by developing nations. Through her involvement with the organization, The Princess has traveled to various countries, such as China, Cambodia, Botswana, Madagascar, and The Philippines, to visit Save the Children projects.
Recognized for her passion for horses and a successful equestrian career that included participation in the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, Her Royal Highness is engaged with riding for disabled organizations throughout the Commonwealth.
