The event took place aboard a train departing from Manchester Piccadilly.

Police have released a photograph of an individual they wish to speak with in connection to a sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl aboard a train. The incident took place after the girl embarked on the train at Manchester Piccadilly station on July 23. She was traveling to Rose Hill Marple with friends around 3:20 pm. Police reported that a man who also boarded the train intentionally fell on top of her, sexually assaulting her in the process. British Transport Police (BTP) have now released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have information that could assist their investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 150 of 24 July.
