Mark, a Manchester Today reporter, arrived promptly at the scene where he was approached by the owner of the Renault. The driver of the Kia is thought to have openly acknowledged the fault.

Greater Manchester Police arrived at the crash but left shortly thereafter to allow drivers to organize their own recovery and share insurance information.

Mark was informed that the Renault was on a test drive by a female driver who was contemplating purchasing the car before the collision occurred.

Disruptions occurred on both Queen Elizabeth II Way and Manchester Road. No serious injuries were reported, nor was an ambulance or fire required.

The owners of the Renault were spotted hooking up the car to a Land Rover and towing it back to the garage.
