Richard Bentley Smalley Memorial Hall | ManchesterToday

If you have ever hiked from Middleton all the way up to Tandle Hill you more than likely walked up Thornham lane passed this beautiful building. Today the Hall is used for all kinds of things like Uniform Groups, Parties Wedding’s, Social Events, Vikings with lots more scope for 100s of other activities. They're currently working endlessly on trying to improve the look of the building inside and out which if you would have walked past this building ten years ago then walk past it today you can see the amazing changes that have been made. Sadly, though Richard Bentley Smalley Memorial Hall is a community hub which is community funded so as you can imagine the cost of running this place and keeping it open for the community comes with its own challenges with the cost of living crisis. Here at Manchester Today we know all about the cost of living and how hard it can be to keep afloat we also know how times are today with very few places for people to go and hang out especially somewhere that is safe and friendly but with this community funded building it has refreshments it's a safe place for all and it's a friendly environment. If you're passing by or you fancy seeing what is happneing with the works or curious of what it's like inside please feel free to visit Tuseday to Sunday 10:00AM - 15:00PM and grab yourself some refreshments while you're there which will go back into keeping this community hub open for all. Richard Bentley Smalley Memorial Hall can be found at the following address: Thornham Ln, Middleton, Manchester M24 2RE Across the road from The Hopwood Arms Pub.
